Pass-On Subject PRDs placed in service
Pass-On Information The PRDs have been placed on HM20, RS20, and RS201. They are mounted in the cab over the center. They are to be on at all times. They take two AAAs, so please make this part of your apparatus checks. I have set the settings for alarm, vibration and the blinking red light. Remember, they alarm at twice the background rate.

Pass-On Subject Portable Radios
Pass-On Information A few concerns and recommendations were brought to me regarding the portable radios and how they are deployed. Obviously, we do not have enough APX8000 portables to place on every piece. The intent is that every person has one for their shift. So the following procedures are what I have decided on so that it is standardized.

• At the conclusion of your shift, place the radio you utilized on the battery dresser at the end of the stairs.
• When you come in for your shift, grab the radio you will utilize for the shift, change battery with a fully charged battery, test it and place with your gear (if you like radio straps, use them; god knows we have like 25 of them).

Right now the portables are kind of all over the place. On some apparatus, not on others. Sometimes left on and dead. We have to be better with radio accountability. I am aware of the two lapel mics missing or broken; I have contacted radio maintenance for replacements.

Pass-On Subject 2-stroke Motor testing
Pass-On Information Hose and OcConnel

Launch at River Bottom Park. Went up stream
to dam 5 and back. Motor ran good. Shim
    placement is good.

Top end of the throttle is tight, but manageable

It runs 21 mph up stream at the current flow
    rate.
    EFI 4-stroke runs the same.

I would like to leave this on as primary right
right now, but it's something we should all
discuss. It matters nothing to me.

Only differences: manual trim, lighter, shifter
placement and it jumps up on plane faster.

Lift and lock the motor is your going to drag
drag the motor past the roller.

After use maintenance is complete, gas tank
    filled, oil filled, and greased.
